UPM ABDOMEN & PELVIS SEMINAR PART I ( 08/07/05 / 09/07/05 )

- Gideons (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd with Diagnostic Imaging Unit of University Putra Malaysia once again successfully organized the UPM Abdomen & Pelvis Seminar Part I. 30 doctors around Malaysia and students from Vision Diagnostic attended this seminar and all has passed the Ultrasound Assessment, after they had gone through the seminar which includes hands-on with Medisson ultrasound system. This course had offered the participants with an exciting and rewarding knowledge in the advancing field of medical diagnostic ultrasound especially in the field of anatomy, pathology and sonographic techniques used in investigations of the abdomen and the pelvis. All of the participants are looking forward for the Abdomen & Pelvis Part II seminar this coming November, which will be held in UPM.

3 July 2005, The KPMC Puchong Medical Center had the Offical Open Day on Sunday, 3rd July 2005. This was a pompous affair with many VIPS attending, headed by the Parliament member of Puchong. Around 400 people
came for the opening event. Free tests were given throughout the day. Gideons helped to provide the 3D/4D ultrasound scanning, abdomen ultrasound scanning and bone densitometry. This is part of our support to the community.

2-5 June 2005, The 15th Congress of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia was held at Equatorial Hotel, Penang. This was an event where our booth was frequently visited as we introduce the latest 3DXI (3D Extended Imaging) Technology for the first time in Malaysia for our flagship model - AccuvixXQ. This technology with three functions - Multi-Slice View, VolumeCT and Oblique were versatile functions where users are able to gain additional information on obstetrics and gynaecological cases especially where there is abnormality. We subsequently held a post-congress seminar on 3DXI on 19 June 2005. The Deputy Minister of Health also visited our booth to grace the occassion.

Despite the fact that it was Father's Day, the 3DXI event held on June 19th, 2005 was overall a blast; sparking interests in many doctors, making them sit usp straight and pay attention to the speakers, Dr. Raman Subramaniam and Dr. Patrick Chia.

Asean Association of Radiology (Sept 16-19)

Gideons will be participating in the 13th Congress of the Asean Association of Radiology to be held on September 16 to 19, where the theme will be on the "Latest Trends in Imaging". This event will be held at the Mutiara Beach Resort in Penang. We will be showcasing our latest imaging products.

12-14 August 2004, The 3rd 3D/4D Ultrasound for Obstetrics and Gynaecology was well attended with over 30 participants from the South East Asian region. It was held at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel. We demonstrated the Accuvix and the SA8000Live Prime. There was wide acknowledgement that the SA8000Live Prime has been a significant upgrade to its predecessor, the highly successful SA8000Live. Many Obstetrician and Gynaecologists found the various techniques on handling the 3D images, especially on post-processing to be useful.
